Espresso thoughts, and “The Story of the Night”

Attempt to combat sorrow

Melancholy:

“I began to see the world as seperate from myself,

I begin to feel that I had nothing to do

With anything around me”.

Toibin(“The Story of the Night”) but also ME,

NOW, to an extent;

But, especially, aged twenty-three.

Elegiac tone

Tone of elegy.

Hospital appointment looming

Loneliness looming.

Espresso-that dark liquor-thoughts

  1. It is natural to feel sorrow at times, and separation is as familiar as night and day, but sometimes when the skies are cloudy and the streets are damp, the rain falls on us all. When we are wet , we are almost one with the other and nothing can hurt at all. Take care until the tortured percussion of the next literary discussion.

  2. Thanks, John. That was helpful.I love “the tortured percussion” of “the next literary discussion”{just noticed it rhymes:)!}. Take care too. decayetude
